Holly Pigache

We’re committed to a carbon-zero future and know this vision of the future is also a priority for many of our customers. So we’re on a mission to help you transition into this new world. To accelerate our journey, we’ve partnered with Evergreen Energy which shares this view of the future.

Evergreen Energy is already making an impact on its path to net zero. The company has an excellent reputation for empowering people to make intelligent and sustainable choices about the energy they use and is one of the market leaders in the North West of England for the technological design and installation of Heat Pumps.

What are Heat Pumps?

Heat pumps utilise the naturally occurring energy in the air around us to heat your home and your water. Although it may not feel like it, the ground and air outside always contain some warmth, so even when it’s cold outside, a heat pump can supply heat to a house. To do this, the pump draws in heat from the air around a home and raises it to a temperature that keeps it warm inside. You’ll no longer need to rely on gas, oil or LPG, making them a great alternative to gas boilers.

In Europe alone, 20 million homes already have a heat pump system installed and with some of the biggest technology brands in the world creating heat pumps, this technology is already safe, reliable and efficient. Choosing an energy-efficient heat pump is a smart choice for a cosy home with plenty of hot water for when you need it.

Why Switch to a Heat Pump?

Considering making the switch but still curious about the benefits of installing a heat pump? Great news and we’re here to tell you!

Heat pumps:

  • Currently come with a £5,000 grant from the Government

  • Typically produce 75% fewer carbon emissions than a gas boiler

  • Can last as long as 25 years - more than twice as long as most gas boilers

  • Reduce heating bills for the average home by 15%* when replacing a gas boiler

For heat pumps to work at their best, it’s important that your home has a good energy efficiency rating and effective insulation. So when you request a quote for a heat pump, Evergreen Energy, will check your home’s suitability by conducting a free home survey to ensure your home will truly benefit from switching to a heat pump. If they believe your home’s insulation isn’t suitable for a heat pump, they’ll let you know and can offer advice to help you be in a better position for installation in the future. If your home is deemed suitable, Evergreen will help you access the £5,000 government grant to help cover the cost of installation.

Heat pumps are the future of heating with the Government setting a target of installing 600,000 heat pumps a year by 2028. What’s more, is that from 2035, new boiler installations will be banned so now’s the time to adopt innovative technology to heat your home. Get ahead of the game and get a quote for a heat pump if you live in the North West of England.
